Baby Monitor

A "Must-Have" Device For All New Moms

The other night, I went with my partner to our friends' house with whom we used to play bridge with on a regular basis. That was, of course, before the baby. It had been four months since our last bridge game and we were keen to get back into the swing of things. The baby in bed, mum was enjoying her 'night out' when, out of nowhere, the squeal of a crying child filled the room. It jolted me near out of my skin!
As my wife's friend ran upstairs to see what the matter was, I experienced the discomforting thought that that cries had certainly come very distinctly from another room of the house not at all remotely connected to where I knew the child was sleeping. Catching a glimpse of my face, the husband began laughing and began to describe what it was that caused me such confusion; the benefits of what is commonly known as a baby monitor.
I also have a baby and a baby monitor. Our baby monitor, though, isn't made of machine parts; she's our maid!! This works quite well as far as I can tell. But hospitals also use baby monitors; to keep an eye on newborns and their levels of health. Why would a new Mum and Dad with a four-month old healthy child have need of a monitor??
Before I could worry any further, my friend outlined in detail the use of the two-way radio that is used a lot nowadays to help parents observe infants. The difficulty of checking on a baby while doing routine duties throughout the house is eliminated with a baby monitor. He described the relief this gives a mother trying to juggle both a busy day and a potentially unhappy baby - knowing that there is always an ear listening to the slightest discontentment provides peace.

How baby monitors work
Most baby monitors are made up of two parts. One is the transmitter, kept near wherever the child is sleeping and the other is the receiver - taken wherever you go. Such a concise idea, you wish you came up with it yourself! And newer and better versions are being produced all the time.
Now you can get baby monitors that have more than one receiver and tune into the house sound system! Other, more expensive versions include a camera that watches the baby as well as listens. Even if the baby sits up, awake you can be there in a second. I decided that, even though I had failed my firstborn when it came to electronic monitoring, my other children would not suffer the same fate; we would buy a baby monitor.

Summary:
Every parent who has got a new baby at home needs to have a baby monitor as well. This amazing device keeps a guard on your baby when you are busy doing your daily chores.

BABY MASSAGE

How To Massage Your Baby To Help Them Sleep
There is nothing like the feel and smell of your baby. It is what bonds Mother and child. The most common way to calm a fussy child is to pick them up and cuddle. It is a psychological and physiological need in every human. It is important to have that human contact, the feel of skin to skin. It is a part of the development and socialization of a baby.
Massaging your baby can be relaxing and stimulating at the same time. How can that be, you ask? Even babies have certain levels of stress even though they don't really do anything and can't watch the news to obtain outside stresses. One of the most stressful things for a baby is to be separated from its mother or care giver. When mother and child are reunited after a work day often the first thing the mother will do is to hug the baby. This reassures the baby and calms the mother too.
The initial contact with mother will calm and relax the child but how is it stimulating? Babies'
muscles are not developed and can only become useful through use and control. When massaging a baby, you are making that baby aware of their different body parts. They might not realize what is down there or what they can do with it. Massage and exercise of the baby's legs will strengthen them for the time when the baby will crawl or walk. Even a very young baby can try to extend their legs and stand or bounce when held. They same is true for the babies arms. It can also develop better hand to eye coordination. Even though most babies are good at getting things into their mouths, there are different tasks they may enjoy when they can control their limbs.
A mother should develop a routine for massage. A good time is in the evening after a bath. For some babies, bath time can be very stressful even if they do it every day. Afterward the mother can lay the baby down and massage baby oil or lotion into its skin. This is soothing and calming for the baby and good for the baby's skin too. There are also scented baby oils that can be used to calm. In recent years the use of lavender scented products has become a popular way to provide aromatherapy for infants.
After the baby has been massaged and dressed it is time for the final feeding. After the feeding it is best to hold the baby close and rock them, rubbing and patting their back can eliminate any gassy build up that can prevent the baby from sleeping well. When done properly the baby should feel very relaxed and assured from the parent and sleep well.

Baby Care

About Baby Care

Child care is one of the most major concern if a baby is born and if you are planning to go back to work. So think about the care your child receives from your care taker as he or she is with your child all the time in that environment. We have some alternative solutions for this. Spend some time to choose the best option that suits your child the best.
The first option is hiring a sitter or nanny to take care of your child but this has a lot of advantages. Your child will be home safe and secure with the nanny and will be taken full attention by her. If your child falls ill, nanny will take care of your child and you don't need to spend your time by transporting your child back and forth and also from work. There is a disadvantage in this option, if the nanny wants go on a vacation or if she feels sick, you don't have a backup. Also spend as much time as possible with your child in free time. This is because, your child spends a lot of time with your nanny and there is a tendency to develop a strong bond with your nanny. The statistics shows that more than one mother is not comfortable with her baby as the baby is comfortable with the nanny.
The second option is leaving your child in a small day care, which means you will find someone who will take care of your child with her children. There is a possibility that there will be her children or even others. This is one of the good option if you want your child to be in a home atmosphere. This situation happens if you cannot afford for a full time nanny. This option also has the same kind of disadvantage if the nanny feels sick or goes for a vacation.
The third option is that taking your child to a professional day care center. These kind of professional day care centers are affordable and we don't need to care whether the caretaker feels sick or going on a vacation. Your child will also learn a lot in that day care center as it grows older. Be prepared both of you as your child can get affected by the germs in that day care center. In most states, there must be one caretaker for eight babies. This is the other disadvantage taking care of eight babies by one caretaker. So, while you take your child to a day care center make sure that the caretaker is not attending more than five children.
The most important decisions you'll make is choosing the appropriate child care center. Even after you choose the day care center, make sure your child gets the best care in the day care center you choose. Go to the day care center in odd times to check what's going on and Make sure you're satisfied.
